Wisdom, wisdumb, and wit

Fans of the "wisdom of the crowd" concept should enjoy the following things I learned by reading the comments below the New York Times' coverage of this morning's mini-blast at the Times Square military recruiting hut:

It was an ultra-left group.
It was domestic terrorism.
It was a right-wing bombing designed to discredit the Democrats.
It was a nitwit.
It was the Republicans.
It was a Libertarian.
It was "false flag," a covert operation designed to appear as if it were conducted by some other entity. But which one? I'm confused.
It was a Mythbusters experiment gone wrong.
It was "one of those weird Staten Island separatist groups, tired of being ignored."
It was the Seventies coming back: "I better run down to the thrift store and get me some platform shoes and an eight-track copy of Saturday Night Fever."
Even worse, it was the Sixties coming back.
It was "a rogue Chinese operative, angry that another Lunar New Year him by without having found true love."
It was the pigeons taking revenge.

But my favorite was posted from somebody calling himself Tuna: "Now our government gets to spend $50 million to find a bored kid with $2 worth of black powder; the same cost/benefit ratio we have in Iraq."
