Air Force "bluecoats" blogs

If you've been shaking your head about those Pakistanis and other foreign powers that have been censoring net access, don't get too comfortable. Wired News is reporting that the United States Air Force is blocking access to most blogs in a move that one senior Air Force official calls so "utterly stupid, it makes me want to scream." In what looks to me like gross overstepping, the Air Force Network Operations Center has installed Blue Coat -- net nanny software that's the bane of anybody who actually tries to use the Internet. Amazing.

This is what Sam "use your judgment" Zell recently ordered removed from the Tribune Company's networks.
